I first became interested in astrology after spotting an advert locally by a counselling astrologer. I had been going for regular counselling sessions but didn't seem to be getting anywhere. I was amazed by the amount of information he gave me about my personality and exactly what I was going through, especially as I hadn't given him any clues about what I wanted to discuss beforehand. I was so impressed that I wanted to explore this 'system of knowledge' myself.
That was ten years ago and it started a long adventure, much like a treasure trail, slotting pieces into the puzzle to come up with a more complete picture. The depth and content of the diploma course helped me to really understand myself and become more self-assured, with a far clearer direction.
The best part about studying with API-UK was the open and friendly atmosphere and I made some great friends. Up until then I was focussed outward - walking, running, long-distance swimming, body-building, badminton, tennis, horse-riding. When my Age Point went over the Crossing Axis in 1998 I realised there was an inside and through friends I discovered spirituality, reincarnation, channelling, crystals, flower essences, tarot and more.
You can view the birth chart as simply a map of your personality. You can also wonder why you were born at that precise moment in time. I consider it as significant and through exploring my other lives I have a feeling of continuity, heritage and substance. However, I do have Moon and Jupiter in the 4th house.
On 12 June, 2008 South Lakes Astrology was born. With Sun, Mercury and Venus in the 10th house in Gemini, my aim is to offer quality information and caring.
In addition to being an astrologer I work as an Intelligence Officer (Pluto on the AC) which needs thoroughness, tenacity and accuracy as there has to be sufficient evidence up to court standard otherwise a prosecution will fail. I also designed and run the company's gym.
My attention to detail and integrity is brought to my astrology and I am on a constant search for additional valuable information, especially channelled which is a huge source of new and higher wisdom. Everything I use has been road-tested on myself first.
